We are complex human beings with many different layers to our lives and relationships. Sometimes different stresses come with these layers which can be very overwhelming to us. I am here to help you through your difficulties, and to give you support, understanding and professional guidance where you feel you need it most. I will listen, comfort, and help you to discover your best paths. I bring warmth, caring and compassion to my practice with individuals, couples and families. Dynamics are explored and skills training is given to aid in resolving problems, for example, with relationships, divorce/separation, depression, anxiety, phobias, traumas, substance abuse, job stress, anger issues, family stress and bereavement. My style is multi-modal, client centered, and goal oriented with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, positive psychology, interactive emotion-focused couples/family therapy, relaxation techniques, and stress management. I use the most effective ways to work with you through a combination of my experiences of best practice, and knowledge of the most current research in mental health as well as effective treatment approaches. I am confident that my skills as a therapist as well as your involvement in this collaborative journey will help you overcome obstacles and reach your goals, with a view toward experiencing your most joyful and fulfilling life.
